We make it easy for you to recycle your textiles, which helps you protect the environment. The latest statistics show that Americans discard 85% of unwanted clothes, even though nearly all household textiles can be recycled. Disposing of those items in a landfill produces greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.

Recycling your clothes and shoes in a Family Times Thrift bin will not only prevent those greenhouse gases from being emitted, but also lessens the need for newly manufactured clothes, effectively cutting down on the environmental damage incurred in the textile manufacturing process.

The clothes dropped in our bins are repurposed into something new, given to underprivileged people or sold in developing countries where the demand for used clothing is high. The proceeds go towards development projects in our local communities.

We need people to volunteer for us each year and make the difference in the lives of thousands. Find out how to become our partner.I want to help.
